LOS ANGELES -- Kyla Ross, a member of the "Fierce Five" gold-medal winning U.S. gymnastics team at the 2012 Olympics, has committed to UCLA but will defer enrollment until after the 2016 Olympics.

She won a silver medal in the all-around, bars and beam at the 2013 world championships, and the following year she helped the U.S. win gold at worlds and earned a bronze medal in the all-around.
Ross, who is from Aliso Viejo, California, will be the second member of the "Fierce Five" to join the Bruins. Jordyn Wieber is a second-year team manager for UCLA.
Ross will join two-time world all-around champion Simone Biles and Madison Kocian, a gold medalist at last year's world meet, who signed in the early period last fall. Biles and Kocian also are deferring enrollment until after the 2016 Olympics.
